I listened to part of President Obama's speech today. I listened as he spoke about the change he's been able to make and the long road ahead to pass a healthcare bill. I heard him tell fellow democrats he wasn't going to back down on teh healthcare bill and they would continue to fight. Throughout his statements, there were pauses, applauses. I'm not sure what the applauses were for. Obama is a wonderful speaker, but at this point, I dont' want to listen to more words. I want to know how they can make healthy food affordable for american families. How we can afford to heat our homes. The pausing so people can clap, it seems like a show. We don't need politicians putting on shows, we need answers to these crippling problems that face us. In fact, I don't want to hear politicians talking about what they're working on as they smile into the camera. Make a speach when you've accomplished something. Tell us when you've done something that will create jobs and lower prices on food, electricity, credit card interest. Don't just talk to hear the applause.
