Do you get these hollow or a depressed feeling on Sunday evenings or nights? And would it be because of resuming work next morning? I get this feeling often and most people I asked responded in the same way when I asked? What about you?

Even though I don't work at the moment I still loathe Sunday nights. They have a certain "feeling" about them that I can't explain. Also, my hubby has to get up very early for work on Monday so he's always a bit sad too. My Mum has hated Sunday nights for as long as she can remember because she always has trouble sleeping the night before work...and she has an early start too. I look forward to the telly programmes because they are generally good on Sundays...but the two progs I watched last week that I thought would cheer me up ended up making me cry! Haha!

I think the only way to avoid these"sunday evening depressions " is to get engrossed in some activity if possible along with your husband - then maybe you will not hate these evenings; I used to hate them but finally got rid of this feeling by keeping busy.

That's very true. Keeping yourself occupied takes your mind out of that thought.

I used to feel that way all of the time and I've recently found out that it's not uncommon. If I keep busy though, studying or cleaning, etc. it doesn't effect me like it used to.

Yes, I have always hated Sundays since I was little. I remember back then Sundays being VERY boring. My father would always be laying on the floor sleeping (YES, the floor hehehe)and I was always to trying to wake him up without success. My mother and sibling would be doing something else..very monotonous day I guess. Even though I was good in school the thought of the end of the weekend would depress me a little. As an adult it got even worst :( Once the clock would mark 5-6pm I would get all gloomy like the next day would be my court sentence day and the outcome didn't look too bright like I would get: life in prison or get executed.lol It got to the point I just started preffering Mondays....I just wanted Sunday be OVER already..too much mental torture I guess :( So, I always thought Sundays had a weird vibe in them.

Yes, I hate sunday nights. It means school in the next day. it also means that that weekend is over. I really hate sunday nights especially if I had a really awesome weekend, that means that the fun has to come to an end.
