I do agree that pineapples have a lot of benefits and advantages to us. The most common is that they help increase the anti-oxidants in our body that would help in fighting off the free radicals in our body, the substance that would attack the normal cells within our body. I have seen in one of the television shows that pineapples will have more anti-oxidants when it's over ripe.

Wow, yummy medicine! Thanks for sharing this with us. I love to eat pineapple because it is tasty and because of the health benefits that we can get from it. Yes, I agree with you about the enzyme bromelain that prevents inflammation or swelling brought about by gout, arthritis, sore throat and acute sinusitis. Bromelain also accelerates the healing of wounds. When eaten during a meal, pineapple aids in digestion and when eaten between meals, it breaks down fats in the body and therefore helps in shedding off excess weight. Pineapple is also believed to protect against cancer, to break up blood clots, thereby promoting healthy circulation and to help in getting rid of toxic elements in the body because of its diuretic properties. What a beutiful way to make the tastes buds happy and keep ourselves healthy. Gee, now that you've mentioned it, I just have to get up for a minute and get a slice of pineapple from the refrigerator. My mouth is watering just by the mere thought of it. Have a lovely day and enjoy your pineapple, katkizzle!
