Computer networking - telecommunication field your views

One of my friend is changing his field and moving into computer networking - telecommucations. He says that computers is evergreen and telecommunication is having good scope in North America. What is your sincere advance to him.

The main advantages of computer network is that it includes lower costs and increased productivity. With networks, resources can be shared which results in less duplication of data.
