Good Actor, Bad Movie

I am sure picking a movie to star in is like rolling a dice, you never know if it's award-worthy, going to be embraced by the public or going to be nominated for worst movie of the decade. Who knows why some actors have chosen particular roles that we wish they hadn't. Do you have a movie that you think one of your favorite actors should not have signed up for?

Aw. Battlefield Earth. C'mon, we all know John Travolta is a really good actor and he's like an icon when it comes to musicals and action movies. But Battlefield earth was just horrible. I don't know why they sign up for the movie. I think they think that the movie would be a hit but ends up a failure.

I often question why Nicolas Cage, who I use to really like, decided to make "Ghostrider". It is such a poor movie and that's partly down to Cage being the wrong person for the role.

THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN is one that comes to mind. The movie was horrible and definitely didn't do justice for Sean Connery. I even heard some time ago that that movie was one of if not the key reason why he decided to give up acting. Don't know why he chose the film but I'm sure he regrets it.
