Well final fantasy xiii has finally decided that it is going to keep its march release. I've been waiting for the release for well over a year now and have got me a copy pre-order. Has anybody else been as excited about this release as i have and has anybody else decided to pre-order it?

I was, initially, until I read the review on www.wired.com. They say it's stripped down, doesn't even have an overworld, and is very, very linear. http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2009/12/final-fantasy-xiii-preview-2/

yes, you'd be better off buying mass effect 2- or if you haven't played it- elder scrolls 4 oblivion, game of the year edition. final fantasy has no towns- its linear, and is overhyped. I would rather play knights of the old repiblic than that overrated game.

thanks to both of you for your replies. RPG gamers are basically split into 3 lots of groups. Those that love heaps of cutscenes, those that focus mainly on gameplay and those that like heaps of cut scenes + gameplay. Im the type that likes heapps of cut scenes and a fun, active type of gameplay. I read on another forum that FF XIII is 30GB Movie and 7GB gameplay lol

I've probably seen footage of this in the past 3 years and I thought it was supposed to come out in 2012 unless that was a different game. I would be interested in buying it some day. I think it looks really cool and the cinematics look awesome.
