I'm sure we've all been involved or known people who had to wait for awhile in an airport because of delays. What's the longest you've had to wait for your plane to arrive or to be reschedule?

I was flying from Kansas City, Missouri (USA) via Dulles airport in WashingtonDC to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Due to rain in Kansas City, I missed my connection in Dulles for my flight to Argentina. They told me the next flight was in 12 hours and I'd be able to get on that one. That flight came and they said it was booked because of all the delays with flights from across the U.S. and that I'd have to wait until the next one, which was at 9am the next day. That flight came and the same thing happened. I was told I might be able to get on the flight to Argentina at 11pm that night but that didn't happen. I got stuck again. I ended up being in the airport in Washington DC for 4 days! The airline didn't do anything because it "wasn't their fault" due to the weather. There were 3 other people there that the same thing happened to. They only had to wait 2 days. All of us ended up sleeping wherever we could and mostly walking around the airport. By the 4th day, most of the airport employees knew me and were always asking me when I was going to be able to fly. It was a huge joke! I can laugh about it now but it was horrible at the time! It was like the Tom Hanks character in the movie "Terminal". I was just stuck and I didn't have any money at all, which make it worse. lol. The airline finally gave me some food coupons on the 4th day but I'll never fly United Airlines again! They were rude and nasty and not helpful at all! It was one of the worst, no, it was absolutely the WORST experience I've ever had on a flight. 4 days. I still remember it like it was yesterday...
