The movies are good but I prefer the books. That way, I let my imagination make its own movie. Often times, I find myself disappointed with the movie when I've read the book first. That was the case with the Da Vinci code. THat hasn't happen yet with the Harry Potter movies. You should try reading the book first. I've read the Deathly Hallows book and finished it in one night - I couldn't put it down! There's so much that happens and so many issues that are resolved. I can understandd why they're dividing it into two movies. Have you read the 7th book?

Thats actually a hard one. Normally I would say book on everything, they are always better. However, I am thoroughly impressed with how well they do the movies with what they have. The fifth was probably the worst for me - they took out the action scenes. Who in the world does that? But the sixth one was amazing and I look forward to the seventh and eighth movies. Despite that, in the end, I do have to say the books are better. The way JK Rowling writes is just amazing. She leaves hints about what happens in book seven all the way back in the first book. She planned it out from the very beginning and I grew so attached to the characters and found myself laughing and crying with them more than I ever have in any other book. A fine achievement and a book series I look forward to sharing with my children should I ever have any.

I think both are good. Whether it is going to be the movie or the book, they are really great. Thought there are some parts in the book that are not found in the movie but I think movie makers just know it very well that they include things found in the book that would be appropriate for the movie. I do have some favorite book of Harry Potter and the movie but all I can say is that they are really awesome. I am looking forward for the next Harry Potter on cinemas. Just cant wait. =)

I thoroughly enjoyed both...I read the books first, so I had an idea of what I thought the movies would be like, and for the most part, the movies fit my interpretation. Atleast, they did earlier on for the first few. The sixth movie was a little off fact/detail-wise...but it was still very enjoyable. In the end though, I probably enjoy the books better because they are more open to interpretation, so you can see it however you want, whereas the movie is more limited to how the director made it.
