Should marijuana be legalized?

Hi mylotters, Do you think that marijuan should be legalized? Why or why not? There are people who said that it can be a medicine but I don't know for what disease.. I have my friends way back in college they are offering me that. But I don't get it because my thinking that time that marijuana is bad and a drug. They told me that it would make you feel better and it would also make me fat... Because I am slim so they recommend it to me but still I don't want.
