Absolutelt "YES"...it can buy things that makes people happy. Money can give us "temporary" happiness, from things and materials given and bought. We can have our house filled with expensive materials...and it gives happiness. Cars and jewelries...travel the world and see beautiful places. The only question is...why does rich people who can afford to have everything they want still not contented with their lives? It is becoz...they are living in a world of material happiness. so...in reality...thu money can give them happiness, Yet...it can't buy the real happiness within themselves. Happiness within and having contentment in life is the best happiness that anyone could ever felt. The joy and laughter from those innocent kids will give us an example for what does happiness really means. Happiness is being happy without asking for more.

Yes money can maybe give us happiness in some ways but it also give us sorrows, worry's, problems in some ways. Not so many people can live in the way that they can have money and buy expensive stuff as what you are saying. So we are talking in general really not only for those who can buy cars or travel the world but your point is good too and talking about rich people I think that rich people can't be contented on to what they have because they have grown into loving the money, that they wanted it more, they become greedy and selfish...they say the love of money is the root of all evil...so the more you love the money the less you know the real value of money and love, and as far as your point goes it is not absolutely yes that you believe it can buy happiness as to what your last part is saying...

Happiness cannot be bought. Happiness is a state of mind that results from a feeling of fulfillment for being able to accomplish a task, doing something that you love, achieving a goal, being contented with what you have, being able to share what you know and what you have, being able to do something good for someone. We need money to pay our bills, buy food, medicine and all our needs. But money is not everything. There's more to life than money.

Money can buy things that makes us happy but not our happiness. In fact, too much money can bring sorrow and fake happiness. Money can't buy the love you need from your family, your friends etc. For me, real happiness is when you have people who love you and you love around you. I don't mind being not-that-rich as long I have my truly best friends and my family besides me :)

Not all happiness can be bought by money only superfacial happiness. Like true friends, true love, maybe you will get to fulfill all your plans when you have money but never real happiness that you heart desires.

I see, everyone has it's own different way of feeling happy...sometimes some people spent a lot of money for things they like and yet they can't still be truly happy, but glad to hear your way of being happy..

I think money doesn't buy happiness but it can add to it. Put it this way, if you didn't have the stress of bills or lack of money or the things you need you would be so much happier. You wouldn't have to constantly worry about things money related which is the cause of many peoples unhappiness. This is just my opinion.

welcome to the wonderful world of mylot. yes i can say that money can buy you happiness but that happiness does not last that long. for example when i buy something for my son or for my wife and i saw them happy i feel happy too. but that is for a short time only. still the love and simple gestures makes you happy more than what money can buy. i can say that money plays a part too of our happiness but not at all time. good luck here at mylot. hope to see more of you here

money can not buy happiness, happiness came because you felt comforted by the existence of money.

Yes, money can. Without a doubt and hesitating, Yes! There's one time I almost miss my flight because of the traffic and long distance to airport. I told the driver that I'll double him the fare if he can bring me to airport within 15minutes. Can you imagine? the distance for about 45minutes, he could make it just 2-3minutes later than the agreement. I was satisfied though so I paid as I said. See? Money can buy time. What about people who seriously sick? If they have money then they can afford something that can relief their pain. Being cured from the pain, do you think they'll be happy? If you lose money, maybe, about $1000. Will you be upset? Why? Do you feel happy that you have that money with you before you lost it, right? Well, that's just a making situation, not really happen hehe $1000!! Oh my gosh... There are many things more that money can provide the happiness and many situation that money can be solve. Money may not buy everything and money may not provide every happiness but it's better to have it first. It's the best option.

For me... Money has its advantages in achieving happiness, but at some point in time we could never say that money will make us happy. When we have jobs, that supply us with our leisurely activities like playing video games, going for the beach to bath under the sun and swimming in the open sea or going to massage parlors for an experience of relaxation and time to un-wind. But when we grow old our true happiness lies in how we did in our life.
