My friend told me that he wanna start his own career, but didn't have enough money. He asked me for help.So I lent him some money. Then several months passed,he's like, totally forgot about the money.Have you ever got the same problem as me? what would you do?

Hi lil, yes, I have lent money to only find months later that the person totally forgot. In fact I have had someone lend me money and I totally forgot I owed it to them. I have also lent money and forgot that I did until the person arrived to repay me. Nice surprise. I would simply remind them, before a time that I really need the money back. This way, it gives them enough time to arrange the re-payment back without hardship.

You are welcome. Yes, he very well could of because I know how easy it is to forget. Perhaps a light reminder may do the trick. Good luck to you!

It is risky to lend money to friends without any record. Please ask your friend over and over to give the money back. It is okay to lend small amounts of money, but you should be very careful while lending big amounts. Also, think well before lending money and decide it the person is trust worthy and will give back the money or not. I hate to lend money.

He's one of my best friends in senior high. That's why I lent him the money without hesitation. It maybe is not a big amount of money for him to start his career, but it is a big amount of money for me.Now I don't know how to ask. It's embarassing to ask money back.......

ive lost some money myself because my cousin needs it. he has a family to care for and i have none. he cant return it but what can i do. in your case there are many obscure reasons for your friend not giving back what he borrowed. one try you can do is to help him with his career by talking to him about it. he may have trouble doing it only by his own thats why he has to delay. men can do anything unless no one helps them.

We have made a strict policy in our house that we do not "loan" money. If we find ourselves in a position such as this we just set it in our minds that it is a gift. That way if we do get it back it's a pleasure. Otherwise if you loan then it seems to put a cloud of ick over you and often the person you loaned it to.
