Discussion can cross 1000 responses.

I have noticed that a discussion is receiving a huge number of responses. I was surprised with that. But later in a response to my discussion an experienced user said me that that is admin. I was amazed and thrilled with that discussion. Very popular and interesting discussion.
The name of the author of the discussion is GoAskAlice. She is quite busy in answering the responses. She has. very impressive and supportive attitude.
Already that discussion collect 159 response in 7 hours.
I assume that this discussion can collect 1000 response.
What you think..... can GoAskAlice collect 1000 response?
Woahhhhh ...... amazing...... Do you this is this possible?

There is no limit to the number of responses that any discussion can receive.
Certainly everytime myLot admins post a discussion it will receive a huge number but I have also seen discussions by regular users with over 900 responses.
This is the profile of GoAskAlice and as you can see, she has always had a lot of interesting responses and comments on her discussions, possibly because she is very active and gets back to comment. That is something to do whether you are admin or not as it keeps others interested in the discussion.

900 response ...... Great .... That must be a special one. Yes I have already viewed the profile of the admin. Very attractive and important discussion I have read there. And with numbers of response one must be very active. Can you give me the discussion link of the 900 response discussion?

Hello,
To be quite frank, I don't think any discussion here can cross a 1000 response. Before even having about 300 responses the discussion will be repeated in another form or people may just forget all about it, or several other discussions will pile over it and smash it entirely. GoAskAlice got that much response not just because she is being supportive and positive, its probably because she is a myLot staff herself and that she has started the discussion was notified right at everybody's desk. But discussions can be interesting enough to have over 50 responses, and I do believe that.

It really depends on the topic. Sometimes, the topic is interesting and wide enough for most people to answer, then it could reach 1000 responses. We have nearly 200,000 members. Getting 1000 responses if less than 1% so should be achievable.
