What should we look for in a day care

I am a working mother of a two year old. My son is staying with my in laws since he was 5 months old who stay at a distance of 50 kms from my place and I visit them every weekend. Hence, i spend two days a week with my son. Now, I am planning to bring him here and the first thing I need to do is to look for a good day care center. Can some body let me know what I should look for in the days care centers before I get my son admitted to it? I want the best possible care for him.

Maybe you will laugh at me when I will tell you that only your two year old can decide it. Kids have instinct if they like the place or not. Just try it out you can also determine if you have standard what you expect to have in a day care center,
