I am planning to buy a laptop. I am confused about the brand. My budget is around 32000 INR. So I need help from my fellow mylot members.

You can opt to buy a dell or an acer, those brands with some good specs fit your budget. Or you can also choose to buy a netbook instead if you're really on a tight budget.

Thanks for the response. My first priority is Dell. I am checking other options like HP and Acer. Those are my second options. Thanks for the advice.

I've been using Dell XPS and Alienware systems for the last 6 years. My Dell XPS lasted five years before I decided to upgrade, and I'm still using the thing for a print/file server for my apartment.

HPs are good laptops, they are my favorite. But considering your budget, HP can be pricey with similar specs compared to the dells and acers.

You haven't specified about the use of your laptop.Depending on the needs, one should go for costly ones with more features.Say,if you are going to do more rendering works, then you need some 3gb ram. Apart from that,I recently bought a netbook from acer which has an atom processor,1 gb ram,web cam and blue tooth. It comes with a battery back up of about 6 hours but no dvd writer.Just entry level with windows xp home genuine edition at the cost of RS.17500/-.
