I really like romantic movies with a dramatic touch like A walk to remember, P.S. I love you etc. and romantic comedies such as The proposal and the Wedding agent. The downside is that I don't know many movies of this kind and I have some time on my hands this weekend and I'd love to rent some movies, can you help me? Thank you! ~Niya

I prefer older comedies which are way more funnier than the recent ones.. You may try Addicted To Love, The Bachelor, The Wedding Singer.. These are the few best comedies that i would recommend. From my opinion, nowadays the comedies are very predictable and lack of humour. When i rent romantic comedies, i prefer to search for the older ones, so give it a try urself. =)

I havent heard nor watched either of these comedies. Can you be more specific about their plots because i will have to choose only one of these 3 and i cannot decide only based on the titles. thank you! P.S. contemporary comedies are a hit only because of their predictability, that makes ppl thuink they r smart and in control of the movie ;)

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Addicted to Love - Starring Meg Ryan & Matthew Broderick. Meg Ryan got dumped by his bf. She tailed him all the way to New York and wanting to take revenge. She bumped into Matthew, who is in the same situation as her. He just want his gf back. So they team up to take revenge on their exes who happens to be together. The Bachelor - Starring Renee Zellweger & Chris O'donnell In the story, Chris's dad left him an inheritance of 100 million dollars. In order to get it, he has to get married within 24hours. He's desperate and his proposal totally blows. So his gf, Renee, didn't accept him although she loved him. So, in desparation, he's searching for a total stranger to get married. Wedding Singer - Starring Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore Another story about getting dumped. Adam Sandler sings at weddings. He got dumped at the altar and feeling depressed. She meet Drew, who works as a waitress at one of the weddings he performed. Drew is get married soon to a cheater whom she's unaware of. So from there their friendship grew. So yeah, i somehow sum up all 3 movies. Hope you pick something, or might as well watch all three when u have the time. All are hilarious plus sweet. Heh.

Julie and Julia is good. It is a story of two women who likes to cook. I dont know the exact words I would describe it but I think you will really like it. Ever After is like the original story of Cinderella. You are gonna like it too.

Picking up on that you like "A Walk to Remember", then I would also recommend "The Notebook", "Nights in Rodanthe" and "Message in a Bottle" as they are all adaptation of Nicholas Sparks novels and all have that romatic/dramatic element. 3 other movies which are also worth watching for being fun romantic movies are "Hope Springs", "As Goos As it Gets" and "Something's Gotta Give", all will make you smile.

Hi enyniya, no worries Hope Springs stars Oscar nominee Colin Firth and although it's a very formulaic romance the performance of Firth alongisde Heather Graham is full of funny moments making it surprisingly amusing in a sort of laid back way As Good as it gets is a nice romantic movie and I like it because it's focus is on the characters and their relationships be it between the rather abrupt Melvin, the artistic Simon or the put upon Carol. It's more of a funny romantic movie than one which is all lovey dovey. It also features an adorable dog, so if you likes dogs it may also appeal. Something's Gotta Give is very much a play on the traditional storyline of a love hate relationship mixed into a love triangle. What appeals to me is that the chemistry between Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson is first rate making their relationship surprisingly charming but also punctuated by some memorable funny moments. Hope this helps

Hi enyniya, I love romantic flicks too. Try "Love Actually" it is not just about two lovers, it's also about love of family, friend, childhood sweetheart. It's one of my favorite movies and I recommend it to everyone. If you like a walk to remember, you'll love "The Notebook" another adaptation of Nicholas Sparks. Try also "My Best friend's wedding" and "sweet home alabama".

I love romantic comedies most. Most of what I like have been mentioned already. On top of those, I would also like to suggest Kate & Leopold and Tootise. I haven't seen "Say Anything" but it's one of the most memorable romantic films of the 80's. Also, since you love romantic movies, I think you would enjoy "Date Movie" which spoofs a lot of romantic movies and other movies. It is funny and the movie references would surely give you a smile.

I love:Pretty Woman,What Happens in Vegas and Stardust. Pretty Woman is kind of a Cinderella story where hooker girl gets picked up by rich businessman. What Happens In Vegas is one of my favorite comedies.Joy gets dumped by her fiance during his surprise party.Jack gets fired by his boss/dad.Together yet separately they decide to go to Vegas and end up married!Of course thats not the end! Stardust is a romantic fairytale type story where a village boy Tristan picks up a star named Evaine and discovers that he is the heir to a magical kingdom

The best and most memorable romantic movie i had watched is the titanic. It is a cheerful and romantic movie indeed. I watch with my younger sister , she kept crying all the way even the movie ended. very nice and fantastic. most have watched more than once, but every time i watch it , i learn from the romantic scenario
