Hi, ksmita. I remember stealing when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I used to steal so bad. My stepmother would take me and my sister shopping at BigLots. And, I would go in there and steal so many nail polishes and lipsticks. I had so many of them. I would go along with her and bring my purse. When I came into the store, I had an empty purse, but when I left out of the store, I had a bag full of cosmetics. My stepmother did not ever seem to notice. I no longer shoplift anymore, I made a vow to God that I would stop and get my life on track. I did not want to be in jail over shoplifting one day. So, I stopped.

I was 12 and with friends. One of my friends handed me a box of pick 'em up sticks and told me to run. I did, like a dumb.... I didn't make it to the front door of the store before I was caught. I then found out what "hell" is like at home. Needless to say, that was my first and last adventure with "stealing".

I was such a goodie goodie as a child lol, i never stole anything not even pennie sweets. I guess my mother drummed in the idea that i would get in serious trouble if i did. I was always scared i would get arrested or something lol. My parents were quite strict and over-protective as they grew up in the 50's and 60's and 70's (although i am only 24 myself). Also i grew up an only child, so i didn't have any bad influences in the form of siblings. The closest thing i got to stealing was not returning library books that if i had would of given me very expensive late fees! I am a believer in finders keepers though so i guess that is kinda stealing
