Do you walk your dog regularly?

Taking a pet dog for a walk is necessary. A dog that is kept on leash or in cage will develop some kind of illness without a regular walk. Also, the walk keeps the pet owner healthy. Do you walk your dog daily? If not daily, how often?

i just walk daily with my residence card. without this i may be caught as an illegal alien with the corresponding punishment. reasons for forgetting or neglecting is not acceptable. when someone caught they say it will be brought directly into jail. corresponding pusnishment like slashes would likely be taken. so i'd rather walk with my bare foot than to forget my residence card "iqama". anyway i do the brisk walking routine everynight and i consider this as a good outlet of mine to relieve boredom and escape from the stagnant situation even just for a while. at least when i get tired it would be easy for me kill boring nights..lol

No, we have 2 jack russels snd they have the tendency to take themselves for a walk. But they know how far they may go. We play with them a lot, so we keep them busy. TATA.

so your jack russels are free-to-roam dogs and they are not kept on a leash or in a cage. that's nice. but in the city, like where i live in the philippines, dogs are only allowed in the yard, a fenced yard. when the yard is limited, it is important that dogs have their regular walk. this way, a certain condition is prevented, like the hardening of the muscles and development of fat... walking the dog also helps the walker get in shape... it burns fats and extra calories...

No, sweatie, they just greet as at the gate, run to the two rottweilers next door, irritate them and then they come back again. They know how to behave and we have a very big yard, so they have all the space they need. TATA.

That will be the case but I don't think they shouldn't do it because it is the right of everyone to have that kind of pets. But since the owner did not allow it I have nothing to do but to follow.

that's correct, aerous. there are rules and there are rules, and when they have the authority to implement it on us, we can not do anything but follow. thanks for the response.

daily for me. every afternoon, to be exact. my dogs really enjoy the walking time, i guess, since they looked like always happy when the time is come. I usually walk them with the help from my mother too, since i have more than 1 dog. It will be pretty difficult to handle that many dogs by my own.

that's wonderful, celestialpurity. walking your dogs does not only contribute to their health and yours, they also provide time for bonding with pet... as you say, they seem quite happy whenever you and your mother take them for a walk...

unfortunetly, we do not walk our dogs on a regular basis, as we dont really have a lot of spare time. However with there being 3 dogs in our household, and having a pretty large back yard they do go out all together and run arouund the yard, and will sometimes be out there for hours at a time. Is this sufficent replacement for a walk? no its not, but at the moment it is the best we can do, but atleast they are still getting some sort of exercise, and also they do a lot of running around the house. I would like to get a treadmill so that not only can i use it, but i can also ut the dogs on it one at a time, and it will stimulate them going for a walk and help for them to get sufficifent exercise, and get some of the excitement out of them.

allowing your dogs to play in a pretty large backyard does the trick and there's no more need to walk them... playing and running around gives them all the exercise they need and allows them also to develop their motor skills... a threadmill for dogs? that's quite extraordinary and a well-meaning owner of pets... and as you said, that gives a little excitement to your relationship with your pets... a noble way, indeed, kschilling...

you really take good care of your dog, nangisa. also, you are concerned that your dog won't cause any trouble. and in between these, you give your dog freedom, freedom to roam your house. thanks for the response.
