I just dont understand how mylot works! do you?

No one really understands the secret proprietary algorithm of MyLot. They also do not like us to discuss our earnings. I run into the same thing from time to time. One thing I would say is to not count anything that you post after midnight MyLot time, as it will go on the next day. Every time I think I know how much I need to post it changes. I kinda overheard someone say how much she makes every month, and judging by what she does, I would say that if you and I posted the same number of posts in a day, but all of mine had four lines, but all of yours had ten lines, you would earn more than I did. The person I am thinking of has about a half page on every post she makes. Make it a point, for the rest of today, to make sure all of the posts you make are a certain length and see if that helps. It can't hurt.

I think that you should not worry about the money making side of MyLot. The idea that it is impossible to calculate or figure out probably has to do with the fact that you should not have as a main goal on My Lot to make money. I doubt even the most experienced users have gotten rich by "mylotting". So just keep enjoying reading discussions, posting discussions about interesting topics and respond when you find fascinating topics and you will keep enjoying My Lot. The payment, well that's just a perk!

The simplest thing I have learned and I am sure others will have already mentioned this, but it is not the number of discussions you start, whether they make it into the top discussions or the actual number of discussions you respond to but it is the quality of those responses which will affect your earnings. I have found, as have many others, that I can earn more for say just 10 responses to discussions if I spend time to give a thorough useful response, rather than just hammering out a few quick lines which add very little to the discussion. In fact I find it easier and more interesting to find just a few discussions every day and craft a useful response to those than just rushing round trying to respond to lots and lots doing just the minimum on each. But the thing is it is impossible to work out why exactly you earn more from one day to the next. So in many ways it is more about finding a way of using myLot which you find fun and take those earnings as a welcome bonus rather than concerning yourself with the mystery of the earnings, lol.

I do not know either. There is no clear explanation about how much earning that we get if respond to a discussion or make new discussion. Is there any explanation about it? should we ask alice as mylot admin? what do you think?
