National Geographic might be more difficult to get published if you haven't been doing photography long. They usually have pretty strict guidelines. I suggest going to the websites of different magazines and looking at the submission guidelines. I do part-time photography myself and I've found it easier to start posting my work on different sites and letting it get noticed first. Sometimes you get offers from people to use your work. You can also find contests on some websites and that's a good way to build up some credibility too.

I didn't give more specific information without knowing what your interests were first. It depends on your style of photography too. Are you into nature or portraits or do a lot of both? Viewbug.com is a site that does contests and features all styles of photography and Deviantart.com, RedBubble.com, and ArtWanted.com are all excellent sites for selling your work. It takes some time to get noticed on ArtWanted and RedBubble, but they do work. RedBubble also offers a free website to show your work.

Wow! Go big or go home. National Geographic? I admire your ambition, vinitkhatavkar, but you might want to set your initial expectations a little lower. Consider selling your photos as microstock. You may make a few bucks and determine if you've got what it takes to be a serious professional photographer. Here's some info on microstock: www.photosecrets.com/sell.microstock.html It's important to build a portfolio, also.

Hello, welcome to myLot. I would not say its impossible, but, yes its difficult. But there are certain steps you have to go before reaching your destination. Have you got any international or national level award for photography? In case, you don't have any international award, you start looking for sites that deal with photography. You start joining competitions and try to win. Try to point out what was the point of view of the best photos selected in those competitions. Analyze them. If you are sincere enough, you will soon gain reputation in this circle. Don't loose faith in God and don't give in. If you can see it, you can be it. God bless you
