mine is worse... i cook the rice without water! i only realized it when it started to smell. heheheh so the stupid me just put water on it and waited for it to cook. I can still remember my father's face when he saw the charcoal-like cooked rice for our lunch.

That has happened a few times to us too. But in our case, the food isn't ready to serve yet, but almost. Our rice cooker also takes about 30 minutes, or even less, to cook the rice but sometimes everyone's super hungry by the time it's cooked! hehe.

When I was young, I always forget to cook rice because once you are a kid the onyl thing that you can think of is just play. I am task to cook rice for the family every afternoon and as far as I can remember, I was always scolded because they arrive home and we dont have food on the table. I didnt like that, it was my fault anyway. =))

when i am in a hurry to go outside,i missed to switch the rice cooker one or two times.and seen when i came back ,that i didnt switched the rice cooker.my husband scolds at that time, why should i be hurry when i go outside. if that time when i missed to switched the rice cooker,we will eat parata or chapathi,if they are frozen ones.or if my husband is too hungry when we came from outside,we will order parata from near by hotel. order will come within 15minutes.if he waits i will cook rice in microwave which will finish in 15 minutes.

Never forgotten to cook the rice but when I am cooking rice when i have visitors I add a little sea salt but if cooking just for my family then I don't put any salt. There was an occassion where I forgot to add the salt to the rice and the people eating it were used to salt in their rice so it was a bit embarassing.

yes, of course, but doesnt matter! i used to do this when i was learning to cook and sometimes happened that the rice was burned, or the pasta like a thing that doesnt have the form of the pasta, or when i boiled the milk, the milk went away, lol! but dont worry! all of us commit wrong things! have a nice day and thanks for asking

No i never forgot to cook rice. I also use digital rice cooker. It takes 10-15 minutes to cook rice. But i don't like to wash the rice as i need to touch water. Especially in the winter season. Have a good day!
