These days the best outing for a kids is to a computer store or a gaming shop. The typical teenager has an x box, a play station, a Wee, a laptop or a computer. Each of those things cost his or her parents a lot of money. The kids constantly wishes to have more games. Many kids have mobile phones and their parents pay for it. Many kids would rather stay at home gaming then go out on a family trip to see historical sights. If he or she stays at home then the gaming will happen. When it is time to go shopping the moment isn't right because he or she is in the middle of the game. Many families don't have much time for emotional bonding time.

I know what you mean. I sometimes cannot get the kids off of the computer or tv. I have just started setting a certain time as "family time." I also have had to limit my children as to how much tv they can watch or how much time they can use the computer.

If these things are limited in moderation then there can still be family bonding. You could watch a movie together and that could be a bonding experience. I have been watching the Olympics with my kids and we have fun watching it as a family. It's when these things are done in excess that is harmful to our kids.
