Whilst I don’t see a sequel ever being made, especially with the sad loss of John Hughes what would you want to see from it?
I would love them to have a bit of fun with characters being the total opposite of what they were, such as the rebel Bender now being a corporate lawyer, Emilio Estevez’s sports jock a now over weight slacker and even Molly Ringwald princess a struggling single mum all returning for an uneasy school re-union.

And Alley Sheedy would be a motivational speaker. Wasn't she the dark one? Today they would slap a label on her and search her for weapons. And the idiot teacher would be three times divorced promoted to idiot vice pricipal, desperate to make principal, but he never will cuz the guy that was pricipal in Ferris Bueller hates him.

Ooh make it a movie cross over with Ferris, never even though of that. In fact that would be quite a clever way to make a new movie giving in a multi layered element.

Before I read your entire discussion and only the title I thought the same thing. A school reunion would be so much fun to see. With each character coming back with their own trials and tribulation of their lives. Maybe a ten year reunion would be good. I love the ideal!
