I like to know what people think of homeschooling. It seems to be a growing way of educating your kids.

Well its alot safer then some public schools, but I went to public school and turned out fine, even graduated top 15% of my class. I think its all up to the parents, I have nothing against it, although I use to. Before I didnt like the idea of homeschooling because kids loose the ability to be social and make friends, which is very important. but now there are support groups for that.

We have been homeschooling our boys for three years now. It is working very well for us, they are learning and happy. We do not believe that socialization does (or should) happen in the schools, especially not in the way that so many adults thinks that it does. Socialization is about getting along with others, using manners in varied situations, being friendly and helpful even when you don't especially feel like it, etc. My opinion is that when children learn to socialize (be social) from other children, they learn to do so inadequately. And I would wholeheartedly agree, homeschooling with a support group or two is very helpful!
