Do you quick pick or pick your numbers when playing your local lottery.

So as I tend to do weekly I just played a few tickets for the powerball drawing this weekend and also the mega millions since I am located in Maryland and have the chance to play both of them. This week I decided to play 5 tickets for each drawing and picked my own numbers on the sheet. Usually I just have them quick pick my tickets for me but have not had much luck. What do you do when playing? Any luck with either method? Do you play the same numbers every single time you play the big lotto's? Just was wondering what method everyone else plays.
