Yes, but they are not free ever. But never ever taken free lift from any stranger. But yes given it more than one time. In an incident I meet with an gay, as soon as I came to know he is Gay (from his some inviting acts) I immediately got him down from my bike.

I think there is no wrong in giving lift to a stranger but mostly I avoid it because like everyone else, I do not want others messing on my vehicle and no one can be trusted by anyone!

I haven't taken a lift from a stranger for a very long time. Once when I was waiting a long time for a bus with my mother, we were offered a lift and we accepted but my mum got bit worried and asked that they let us off. They did but i have no idea why she was worried ,she never said. My husband and I gave a lift to a stranger too,it was a lady with a little girl.Their car was broken down and they had to get to school to collect another child. I wouldn't give strangers lifts if I was driving alone, it isn't worth the risk.

It is not as dangerous as it may sound, but still it's not very good for women to hitchhike. I've done it when I was young, when I was in my 12th grade, after the school, we hitchhiked really often. Of course, there were bad days, but most of the trips were safe. I am not sure if I should tell it here, but still here goes. I once took a lift with a person who happened to be gay. It was one of the worst experiences in my life and I was shocked as I was young. It's better to be one the safer side. Kudos.

i think it is dangerous nowadays but not in the olden days. with all the crime going around the neighborhood, it is hard to trust strangers. you might find rare ones that still have a heart of gold but the risk is high these days. Beware and be cautious at all times.
