Drugs steel kids inocence, how we stop it?

I have seen so many times young and talented people having so much problems with drug addictions, and I think it is really alarming, it is an epidemic these days. How many overdose people in emergency rooms, how many people die of it, leaving family and friends that will be mark for the rest of their life. I think the key to prevent those issues is education, teach kids since a young age how bad is this habit, and how much it affect them and their loves ones. What do you think? How can we stop it?
