Can wrong deeds go unpunished?

Hello dear friends, Justice is probably something that we value the most in our lives. The word justice is respected and admired by all of us. What is the true meaning of justice? I have seen so many people doing wrong things and yet they are not getting punishment for those things. Do selfish people face consequences for what they do to others? Have you seen any incident in your life where a good human being is being punished for no apparent reason while another person who harmed others is living a merry life? We have high regards for Justice in every stratum of our society. But does justice prevails all the time? We want justice to all, but can we accept it with equal enthusiasm when we face it ourselves? Is the system reward for good deeds and punishment for wrong ones, absolute, or, does it depends on individuals, societal framework and time? God bless you all

It's not "can" wrong deeds go unpunished and more it's "why" do wrong deeds go unpunished. And it's simple and at the same time complex. A friend and I had an hour long debate, that got heated at times, about perception and reality and context as it relates from person to person. In one instance a deed can be considered cruel and debased but in the next instance it can be seen as heroic. I happen to be a Christian and, though I find this world completely and wholly unfair, I understand that it's not my place to be a vigilante for my own form of justice. God Himself will dole justice upon those who deserve it.

Hello, Welcome to myLot. Without getting involved into any ecumenical theories I would like to agree with what you've said about God's justice. One has to be faithful enough to admit it. When we surrender ourselves to divinity and totally depend on Him, he takes the charge. Generally, we are driven by a self-will due to which we always think that we are doing everything for ourselves whereas a true devotee knows that its just a fake reality and its not us but God himself who is controlling everything around us. Thanks for the response God bless you

Justice does not belong to anybody except the person we long to be punished because some way or other we are affected by the consequences of his action or behavior. It doesn't matter whether we take the responsibility to punish somebody, because I believe, some way or other the person will be punished. No I'm not talking about GOD,neither that GOD is going to punish him.But if you look through a man's psychology, you'll find that the percussions of the wrong action haunts the man over and over again as we've seen in potential horror movies. There must be a balance in everything that exists in nature, and one may not perceive that but it happens. So,guys,if somehow being wrongly treated do not worry about justice. The justice is always fair. What you need to do is to forget and forgive the person.

Hello, True indeed. You have said a few remarkable words in there (I mean Kaljoyi dialog). One thing you said about balance is very realistic. Yes, balance should be maintained in this world at any cost. Even imbalance for a moment may ruin everything. I know there are fewer number of righteous persons in this world, but still righteous people have greater strength. So balance is maintained by one righteous person against of a hundred downright cruel and selfish person. Another thing you said is worth a million $. Forgetting and forgiving a person. No matter how difficult it sounds to achieve, this particular thing is to be done for the sake of ourselves. In order to survive, in order to restore our life back to normal after a disaster, one need to forgive and then forget things. To my consideration the greatest bliss men ever had is the ability to forget things. Thanks so much for your valuable contribution in this discussion. God bless you

Hello, Just call me Biswa, thats my name. Well, if you take all into account at the same time, you will only get confused. You will get much clearer picture if you just take the example of a few individuals around you and study their lives. Of course, a few things will remain hidden from you, still they will serve good examples. The most useful example to justify it will be your own life. We are the closest observer of our own lives. So be it. Thanks for responding I hope you have recovered from the trouble you were having earlier because you sound much fresh and happy now. God bless you

Justice here on earth is never perfect. In most (or all?) countries, the justice system is flawed, that's why bad people who are supposed to be punished are not charged, and the good ones are being accused wrongly. This may seem so disheartening for us, but it is because we are in this world. We can never expect life to be always fair here. But I believe that one day, all of us will be judged accordingly. In Christ's coming, sinners who refuse to repent will be punished by Him. All of us are sinners obviously, but it is only those who do not believe in salvation and Jesus Christ that will go to hell. True justice is in God's hands.

Hello, You have said quite a valuable thing out there. In our religion too there is a high place for true and sincere repentance. Repentance makes us clean and pure once again. Though I am not sure if I believe in the concept of hell and heaven, but I do think that our sense of justice and our faith in God can make our life heaven or lack of it, hell. True justice is without any scope of doubt lies in the hands of God. Thanks for such a sincere response. God bless you

I believe that if someone has done a bad thing then sooner or later he would be punished. You can't run from wrong deeds. If you don't get caught by others that doesn't means that you have escaped but how can you run from yourself. So i think we should not commit to any wrong thing because its consequences would be disasterous.

Hi, I remember reading a novel Crime and Punishment. It was a superb novel that has a very realistic interpretation of justice and conscience. Yes, I too believe that there is no way we can get away with our wrongdoings. But, when we repent for what we did, and then surrender to god by swearing that we won't repeat that mistake, our sin is absolved. God bless you

I believe there are natural consequences for everything we do, whether good or bad, externally or internally. A selfish person may very well seem to have it all together, but really, what kind of issues do they have that they're hiding? Do they really have true friends or are they branded and only have polite friendships? I wouldn't necessarily bad deeds gets punished, either, it's just that I believe in natural/direct consequences for a deed/action.

Hi, I absolutely agree. What is future anyway. Future is the accumulated result of the decisions we are making today. If there is a cause, there must be a consequence too. Like any inevitable law of physics this eternal law of nature prevails. Thanks for responding take care

I believe no wrong deeds will ever go unpunished. They will be punished in their own time, maybe not now, but in God's time..

Hi, I do agree with you. I too believe that there is consequences for everything. If someone is doing something wrong, he will definitely suffer for this. We often wonder why someone who is supposedly harming others is living quite a good life. Well, may be he hasn't reached the count. I appreciate your response Take care

Hello dear biswa, What s justice really means? Can we define it without thinking the injustice one? How can we say black s black when u don't know white. Sad to say. How s our justice system now a days? Justice are for moneyed people? Mostly the victims are poor. They don't have enough resources to fight for their rights. That made them into silent and just pray and said "let's just put this into Gods hands" for less trouble. Does it mean keeping in peace in order to buy justice? If a moneyed person did wrong, they usually say, lets talk to my lawyer! then bail granted. Isn't it bad? Prolonging the process is like crushing the victims heart many times fold? But if a poor man did even a slight mistake,or a minor crime and cant able to produce bail of his own. He can be jailed easily then even without prior due process of the law, to defend himself, to presume innocent until proven guilty. Can money buy peace? rather can money buy justice? Who likes to be punished? But i do believe in God who saw everything, enough to punish the unpunished sinner.

Hello there, Justice is not a privilege for the wealthy people dear. There are justice for the poor as well as for the rich. The essence of justice is indifference, that is, you have to have no preconceived notion about either of the parties. To take the matter into a broader perspective, justice is delivered, always. But sometimes justice is direct and conspicuous and sometimes they are quite subtle. No matter how we stray away from justice, honesty and justice is in the true nature of human being. We can't escape justice even if we want to. There are instances where the poor got justice on the sole power of their will. One such instance is http://socyberty.com/issues/an-encouraging-tale-of-virtue/ which you should read. It's a motivating story of a marginal farmer getting justice in the period of a 10 years long battle. It's a story of honesty and immense will power. From the case it is evident that even poverty and temptations can't damage your sense of morality. Thanks so much for your contribution. God bless you.

Hello! Take note of the justice logo or image of justice. The eyes are being blind folded to ensure absolute fairness. No rich and poor. Biswa, its been five years now that i have been to a certain organization named BAIL, INC. in which we provided bail bonds to those who cannot able to provide bail due to poverty. Well its nice to help those people who suffered from societies bias notion no matter whether our client committed the crime or not we well still give them the bail, its up to the judge then in court to do the final verdict. This is to ensure that he can exercise the right to bail and to presume innocent until proven guilty. This is just a small thing in justice system but it has a big impact to the victim.
