Indians in Australia feel safe

New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS) Three new studies released by the Australian high commission here Tuesday show hat a majority of international students, including Indians, feel safe in that country even though there have been attacks, some racist, on Indians there. 'It is important that we listen closely to the views of international students as we mplement our response on this issue and we are doing that,' Australia's High Commissioner Peter Varghese said in the statement.

Australia is based on multi cultural ism. I was perplexed on the amount of racist attacks that happened on Indians during my recent holiday in Australia. Maybe they were sporadic and done by idiots. It does not make the whole Australians as racist. Unfortunately these kind of things do happen everywhere but when two or three incidents occur in the same week one start to be more wary of such things.
