i hate this problem. i often get awaken by just a simple sounds. anyway, those cracking, whirring, cluttering, howling, lapping, rustling, rasping, purling or popping for me are just tolerable and does not irritate me that much. i have a roommate who often play his laptop everytime i wanted to sleep. and he plays dota. this game's sounds does not irritate me as he always put into the mute mode. THE THING THAT IRRITATES ME IS THE CLICKING SOUNDS OF HIS MOUSE. i don't know but my heart beat faster everytime i hear those fuc**n* clicks. ear plugs can't help as i still can imagine those sounds and my heart still keep on palpitating. he also knew that i had a heart murmur which i also posted earlier. he always keep on playing very late at night to 4 o'clock dawn despite of confronting him. i know that is a valuable item but i could soak it into the basin full of water if he still won't cooperate! OMG.. what shall i do...thanks in advance!

Well, i dont know why he needs to keeps sound when he plays, he can mute the sounds rite or rather you do it. Talk with him and tell him you are getting heart problems which can turn out major issue in future. Make him understand, if not someway turn out the games sounds or else change your room. We cannot make these people understand our problem.

he keeps on bragging everything about his stuff and he's always saying that if i wanted to play why don't i buy the same things... you know it really hurts that despite of helping him a lot i have never seen any touch of humanness from him.

Take a stick and hit hard on your head and you'll fine..ok I'm joking.. Actually I have the same problem too. I am easily woken up by the slightest noise, maybe due to our sensitive hearing?? I've tried putting ear plugs but it's not really working and not comfortable. Lately I tried to wear myself out before sleeping (execising or reading) and so far i can sleep soundly at night... Cheers.
