After two weeks is the Day of The Liberation in Bulgaria and that is our official celebration that we admire every year. In the far year of 1878 to our days we are free democratic country. In bulgarian history ,the term Liberation of bulgaria is used to denote the events of the Russo - Turkish War of 1877-1878 that led to the establishment of a bulgarian state with the treaty of San Stefano of 3 march 1878.According to this treaty ,the Ottoman Empire was deprived of a part of its territory and Bulgaria was established in these lands as a separate client-state of the sultan .Bulgaria achieved its full separate on 22 september 1908 then already united with the formed Ottoman province of Eastern Rumelia. The term is pointed on that date as only to refers to the liberation of bulgaria from Ottoman rule.As that Bulgaria is accepted as the third bulgarian state the first liberation of bulgaria, which led to the establishment of the second Bulgarian Empire, happened in the year 1185 as a consequence of an uprising against the Byzantine Empire

Hi Elly! yes, in two weeks is the day of our Liberation and I am so happy with it! It is really one great day and I am proud to be a Bulgarian. last year I was on SHipka for that day, and it was really fantastic. the people there, the music, the festive and the atmosphere are so wonderful that you feel how your blood goes upto your brain and the energy come through your body. I have really felt the Bulgarian spirit that day
