Embedding Javascript into WordPress Posts

How can you embed javascript into wordpress posts? Wordpress just displays the code when I try and embed the script into the post. I have tried looking for a plugin that allows me to do that but had had no luck in finding the plugin. If anyone could tell me how to embed javascript into wordpress posts, that would be amazing.

Thank you for this discussion as I myself have been wondering the same thing, only to install the Swagbucks Swidget into my WP blog.
