Did you like August Osage County? I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of humor mixed in with grief. A couple we know apparently watched the same performance we did although they were mid ground floor while we were very close to the front in the balcony. They could not get past the dark parts and appreciate the rest. I would say a person who got the humor of Maud, Archie Bunker, Married with Children, Rosanne, and shows like that would thoroughly enjoy the show. It was brutally honest at times. Too honest for many people about life. Some really hard life stories. A hang up the other couple may have had is they have a child with a physical disability (oxygen deficiency at birth severe limp) and the female star played a woman who exhibited a Parkinson's like walking disability along with mouth cancer and a raging drug dependency and addiction that was semi incapacitating. All that being said the crowd was laughing a large percentage of the time... They even got in a really great native American joke that a native American friend enjoyed as well.
