Hi guys!I was thinking about how many names exist in the world and what each one means. For example,my name,Alina, in arabic means noble,in armenian means bearer of the light. What is your name and does it mean anything?Do you like your name?Would you give your son/daughter the same name as yours?Do you have more than one name?

My name is Mallory and it's of french origin. It means luckless or unfortunate. Which says a lot about my life. I'm a very unlucky person in general. I live by the motto: If something can go wrong, it will. I try to not let bad luck get to me though but some times I have no choice. I really think that people make their own luck. You have to think your lucky to be lucky. But it's really hard. eh oh well.

Wow....Then it means i should have the same name as you,Mallory...:P But you know,it might mean luckless and your life to be exactly the opposite.I agree with Murphy's law and about luck, what can i say;most of the times you make your own luck.Thank you for posting

My name is Nikolai and it derives from Greek name Nicholas, which means victory or victorious. I like my name, but I won't forward it my son. I just have some better names prepared for him.

Chris means "bearing Christ inside". From Khristophoros. Popular among early Christians. The legend of Saint Christopher as the patron saint of travelers grew from the story of a giant who made his living carrying people across a river. According to the legend, one day he carried across a child whom he discovered was actually Christ. I have heard this story over and over again but its the first time that you have made me curious to check what my real name means. Not that I did not know the answer, but its the first time that I bothered to do a small research about it.

My name is Kayla. I don't personally like it that much. It means keeper of the keys. Yeah, gay meaning huh? I wouldn't name my daughter Kayla. And I defiantly wouldn't name my son Kayla! I love the name Annabella and Juliet. For boys I love Nicholas and Alexander.
