Actually, I wasn't really aware of what exactly is psychology before I read a book on educational psychology. I had always associated psychology with mind controlling or mind reading previously. After reading that book, I realised that psychological is the scientific study of general human behaviour and society. It actually helps me understand quite a lot about my own character as well as the thoughts that I faced during puberty stage. Thus, this also helps me to understand better about how and why people behaved certain ways in different stages of their lives or generally. It also helped me better in understanding how the brain works and able to help me to find the best way to memorise things. So how does the study of psychology aid you?

I became interested in psychology about 15 years ago, and I started reading psychology books, because I wanted to get to know myself better. I didn't realize it at the time, but I think wanted to read about people who had the same problems as I had and I wanted to read about the ways that they handled the problems, so that I could do the same thing. I didn't really find the answers that I was looking for, but I learned a lot of useful things. Today I am still very interested in psychology and I love to learn new things about myself and others.
