There were two neighbors. They were both growing vegetables and crops on their big fertile yards. Both neighbors A and B would go to the market every market day bringing all their harvest. A would sell all his crops in exchange of money; B was generous enough, gave all his vegetables and crops to all his fellow villagers. A on the other had would go home with pockets full of coins. His money was getting higher each week. B, on an opposite faith would go home with pocket empty. He was contented by the 'thank you' of his fellows. But unknown to A, B wrote those hundreds of 'thank you' in thick sheets of papers. Then A decided to build a big house next to B from his big amount of savings. B was contented with his poor little house. When A heard about the story, he laughed at him and shout in his yards: "You fool, learn to sell your crops! Look at me, living in a big beautiful house!" B would ignore him... But time came that his house was salvage enough. He could not think of anything to help himself except of the thought of selling his thick book full of 'thank you'. No one entertained him and spoke at his back: "An old man selling his scratch, what a big joke!" A reached the house of the Datu and offered his book. The Datu ignored again his presence but was convinced later by his generous story and declared: "I would buy your book in exchange of gold". The Datu requested his servant to scale both the book and the piece of gold. The servant put the book on one end of the scale and the piece of gold to the other. The book amazingly weighed much heavier. Finally, the Datu declared that all pieces of gold that would match the book would be exchanged. Again the servant put several pieces of gold to the other side of the scale until it was full enough with precious treasures! NOW I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TO WRITE THE ENDING... THE BEST ENDING YOU THINK! THEN WRITE THE MORAL LESSONS... WHAT ARE THE MORAL LESSONS FROM THIS? FINALLY, GO AND PLEASE TELL YOUR CHILDREN ABOUT THIS... DO YOUR VERSION. (Important Note: This is a local tale written by an unknown writer, published in free pocketbooks intended for children. And this is not the original story, this is my short version. I owe thanks to the FILIPINO writer of this, whoever he/she was.) Prime 1:24AM Feb. 23, 2010 Philippines

The ending is already clear man. I'm a Filipino too, and a 100% Pinoy. I am really proud to the writers of this story and to you man. Let me state my ending this way though, After the datu has placed the equivalent of the weight of the book, the other side of the scale is already full of treasures, then he generous farmer A, received the treasures just enough to save his house in exchange for his book full of thank you's. When he returned home, he continued farming to create another thank you book. LOL. Whatever the ending , the moral lesson here is that, no kind act is left unrewarded.

I am planning to collect as may endings given here. I will tell you when I would choose for the best one... but your ending is the best so far. I like it, it is the most possible ending though. I appreciate it much. Yes: let me repeat it, "No Kind Act is Left Unrewarded", very nice man!
