hi fellas, Just want to share this little trick on curing bad case of colds and flu. For the past 2 weeks I stayed at home mostly because I felt really bad, I was feverish, weak and I had no appetite. I had a severe nasal congestion and if not runny nose and I was sneezing severely. I was unable to get a goodnight sleep because I kept sneezing and blowing my nose. A friend of mine suggested I drink a concoction she herself is drinking. The very same night when i got home I made the concoction and drank and it relieved my colds very fast. I was able to rest and thanks to my friend. Here's what you need to do: 1. Place 3 cups of water in a pot and add 3 tablespoons of vinegar. Add 1/3 teaspoon of salt and 5 tablespoons of sugar. Bring it to boil. 2. When the solution reaches boiling point, remove it from the stove and add 10 pcs of lemon juice and stir. 3. Let it cool and then place it in the refrigerator. 4. Drink half a cup every after meals until your colds and cough are gone. You can either drink this cold or warm.

Common colds can be treated in many ways. I drink a milk with tamarind and pepper added to it. This will gives my throat a better releif. Also i used to take Thulsi which is a herb used to cure colds immediately.

That's fantastic. Home remedies are the best! I, on the other hand just do water therapy. Whenever I catch a flu or cold -- I just drink my way up. Sometimes exceeding 15 glasses a day. When water is becoming such a bore, I would squeeze in a little lemon in. I take sufficient rest and make sure I perspire for the day so I could release all the toxins. That was one home remedy passed on by my mom.

Hi candyfairy21! I will have to try this concoction myself sometime when I have a cold. I don't understand the purpose for the vinegar though in your concoction. What does it do? I know I have also made my own homemade version of TheraFlu before with hot tea, lemon juice or other citris, dissovling an aspirin or ibuprofen, and melting a honey-lemon coughdrop or honey. When I was working as a security guard from three till midnight in the winter, I would often get colds, too, from being outside so much. Thus when I got home, my homemade theraflu would just warm me up and help me to feel so much better! Thank you for sharing this!

What a great tip, maybe I can try it when a member of the family gets cold. I used to have a juice therapy and bed rest if I catch cold, for clogged nose I just nebulize with water and salt. I don't take over the counter meds for my colds, it's just a waste of money as they are not effective for me. Thanks, though!

I think that cure for cold is only do exercise daily. Games make us healthy and strong. They harden our muscles, strengthen our nerves and build up our constitution. A man who is physically strong and healthy can bear great hardships, endure strain whereas a man who leads a life of inactivity. Only exercise can go away from any sises.
