Olympics worth it?

Despite the constant celebrations going on downtown, and the boom in the tourism industry, the government spent over 6 billion in tax dollars on the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Were the Olympic Games really worth it in Canada?

I think it was all worth it. The Olympics not only brings things as mentioned above, it also brings a strong sense of nationalism to Canada.
