Hi friends, This time I want to share you some thing , which I found helpful for me. I saw lot of people who are a odesk provider from lot of days and are not able to get single assignments. I got lot of assignments and completed it with good feedback and income. I follow following steps. 1. keep on refreshing the start page for new jobs 2. when you find the perfect job , apply it immediately with good cover letter. 3. at start try to bid lower so that you get hired 4. before applying always see the numbers of applicants and also try to see their work history whether they have stronger profile than yours or not. 5. try to be 1st,2nd or 3rd applicant. 6. after you applied on a job also do mail to that buyer through odesk 7. Always try to communicate with them. 8. Keep on giving some tests available on the odesk matching your profile. 9 Never forget to create your portfolio .......if you have your personal portfolio website try to share it with the client. Regards, Ankit

Hello Ankitsoldak, I have been in odesk for more than a year now and when I was in Philippines, I considered my earnings good enough. Base from my experiences, I can say all these strategies do really work. But I would also like to add some. 1. Work first on your odesk profile. Add some works you've done before, your Education Background, your work history, and so forth. Add the work you've done as you go along this would give you better chance of getting hired. 2. Take those test that match your skills. 3. Know what you would like to do and just go on to the right section. If you do great in data entry, then just go directly to Administrative section, that way, you can be so sure all that posted their would be of interest to you. If you're a great writer, then just go directly to writing jobs sections. It will save you time looking at other jobs which you would eventually think is too complicated for you. 4. Try to be observant, and know when do people usually post jobs. As we all know in odesk, most of the buyer came from USA, and they are usually online USA time, so be online in that time in an hour and as Ankitsoldak said, try to be included in the first three applicants. That would really give you a big chance of getting hired. I wouldn't suggest to bid very low, I would just try to bid on what you think is appropriate bid. Thanks!

These are good tips for getting hired on oDesk. I have been working through them for about a year and make very good money. I have more work than I can keep up with and I have no special skills, only data entry work. I have a blog that gives many hints and tips for getting hired on oDesk, the link is in my profile, if you're interested in reading more about it. Thanks for your input, Ankit.

Yeah this one is a good strategy but sadly you have to stay in front of your pc for a long time to monitor the new job openings. I myself earn only a couple of dollars there.

I use to keep searching the new job when ever I am free with my work.We don't need to stay full day searching . Just give a couple of hr with some time gap.
