worried about stds?

Do you worry about getting an STD?
I have to admit I am very aware of the risks, but have never really thought about it when it came down to it.
A friend of mine recently found out her husband cheated. They have been together for 3 years and of course it is hard for her.
She went and got tested earlier his week and found out it is possible she has an STD now because of her hubby's actions. They gave her meds and luckily it is something that can be fixed. She gets her results back later this week. I cant imagine what she is going trough. It reall makes me think more about my safety.

hello chantal,
This is really scary when men get to have other affairs with other woman.
Then,women must be very careful.
It is advisable to have a monthly check up.
It doesn't mean that you are suspecting about your partner,but,it is better to be extra careful,than regretting things later.

i am definitely paranoid about such. i am married and we are monogamous but if i was out there dating or if we had an open marriage i would always be afraid of it!! but then again im a germaphobe and have a crappy immune system so i am always worried about catching stuff lol

that's what am worried about, as well. we don't know if our partners are having an extra affairs, really difficult to tell until we get results and evidences (in a hard way). oh my i guess i'll better vow to celibacy then hehehe. but for real it really worries me - good for your friend, it's curable! what if HIV/AIDS. oh my!
