my mother doesnt know i know how to cook !

i learned how to cook by watching my mother than applying my knowledge at my boyfriends house. i love to cook and looking up new recipes and cooking for my friends. But if my mother ever found out my secret i would be cooking for 8 people everyday plus washing everyones dishes.so i rather not tell her so i wont have double chores. do you live two lives?

I don't know how to cook as in cook. I can cook rice and some fried food but when it comes to a very nice meal, I think I can't do it. I don't have the patience of doing such things. I had this ex before who's the one doing all the chores in my house. My mom always scold me because I let him do all the job.

haha thats cute! well i didnt become a great cook over night it took alot of practice i did burn and put way to much salt when i first started making dishes, i did learn from my mistakes. cooking is not hard so you should not give up, you need alot of patience and cook on low heat so you wont burn things. my mother scoles me when my boyfriend washes the dishes but hey its not like i told him to do it. and plus who saids chores are only for girls! oh another helpful hint,before i use to cook anything i would season it first and then cook a very small portion of it like sample size to see if something needed more seasoning or if my new cooking technique works! i hope this helps

That's interesting. I think you are a genius. Just by watching your mum, you actually pick up the skill of cooking. I doubt I will ever learn how to cook even if I were to watch my mum cook for 1 whole year! I bet you are a good cook by now. But wouldn't it be a waste that your family doesn't get to taste the delicious food cooked by you? I'm sure you will give them a very pleasant surprise. By the way, I don't live double lives like you. My mum knows exactly what I am good and bad at. LOL!

my parents are very strict so they dont even know my boyfriend has a place of his own. i live with my mom my dad and my two older brothers, so its up to my mom and i to do all of the chores around the house. i hate having to clean up for the boys because even there friends come over and make a mess, so i rather not cook.. because if i do then i will have to cook everyday and also clean up the dishes. another thing the rule in my house is if you cook you have to clean you your own mess, but if mom cooked then i have to wash everyones dishes and the boys "might" help put awaya a few plates. so i rather not cook for them they dont appreciate it anyways.

My mother does not know how to cook either. She knows how to make and cook a few things, but she isn't the best cook in the world or anything like that.
