How many footsteps do you make each day?

Health advisers had given out an order.... walk to maintain good physical condition. One must take 10,000 steps each day to stay in tiptop shape. For those who need to shed off pounds (or reduce weight), 15,000 steps a day is mandatory. That is why I walk an extra mile or two. It is necessary, ha ha. Have you been counting your steps. It is not only good for the physical but also for the mental math .

I have used a pedometer, a step counter on my waistband. Not lately though. I am not getting to do much walking, I cannot get my foot into many of my shoes, especially the king I need to wear for walking. I will get back to it though. I used to do between 10,000 and 12,000 steps. Good luck for you and your walking.

The footwear is also a problem. Glad for the locally made moccasins which allow me to keep with my walking despite the neuropathy. The University of the Philippines has a 2,2 km oval in the middle of the campus. It has a mini forest on one side and a sunken garden on the other. Health buffs walk, jog, or bike the rounds many times over, from the break of dawn till dusk. I am one of them. But sometimes I hide in the lagoon just at the heart of the forest.

I try to do 10,000 steps a day. There are times I can accomplish it and other times I come up short. I just do it to maintain my weight and for toning my body. I also feel on top of the steps one must eat healthy and stay away from temptation like sweets and fats.
