If recipes are not to be included what kind of discussion is possible under cooking? I have so many wonderful recipes and would like to learn new ones but giving recipes here is against guideliness. Any suggestions please?

It is a shame thast it's against the mylot rules to post recipes, but I thnk it's pretty obvious why it is against the rules. myloters are expected to post original content and discussions but recipes can be found all over the Internet already, and some people would probably try and bump up their earings by copy/pasting recipes. The best thing to do would be to PM the member who writes an interesting food recommendation and ask for the recipe that way.

This rule of copy/paste should apply to all discussions. We are allowed to copy/paste but are expected to mention the source. Not all have the time to surf the Net and giving something on a platter is okay here it seems.

Hi allknowing...I too love to share recipes with others as well as receive them. I belong to so many cooking sites on the web that I've lost track.. I graduated cooking school last year and have so much I would like to share..What you can do is what I do...Post a subject about a particular food or subject. Make your point then you could say, "If anyone is interested in my recipe you can pm me. You then have to make that person or persons your friend so that you can receive messages but its a way to pass back and forth..It works pretty well for me. I love that there are so many people from other countries here. I have received recipes from all over the world and their way of doing things..Its great to learn of other cultures and their food..Food brings people together,,,even on the internet!! I am happy to share cooking ideas and recipes with you any time..I'll request you as friend and look forward to sharing with you.

I would have much preferred if it was open to all - all sharing what we know. Anyway Management has its reasons but with popular demand they might allow this. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

why is it against rules to post recipes here? why not type the recipe like your typing paragraghs. For example 2 eggs, 1 cup of milk and the directions are to stir and cook and bake at 350 degrees until eggs are blown up! Enjoy.
