What do you think of immortality?

Recently, I just got really interested in films about vampires and immortal people. Maybe it's just that I'm getting tired, but I really think it would be awesome if we can have a body that can never die unless we want it to be. Just thinking that having a body that stays in prime shape for a very long time and heal or even regenerate lost parts of body make me feel excited. What you guys think about this?

well, i dont wish to have an immortal life thinking all the problem every people facing even my own problem. i just realize that its not easy to be human, u need to work hard so you will live coz if not then you will die hungry. imagine all things right now, everything works with money, even from the simple things we need up to the bigger one. life is not easy even if we are rich, we can still have problem.

There would be no space in the world for our next generation. Everyday people will born but never die. Hahaha.

i think that if my lover is a vampire, i will love to be forever and ever with him.. i will love all about it, but i dont like the idea i cant be exposed by the sun, because i love the sun tanning my skin.. itotally read differents vampire books about vampires, and i prefer the type of life about the twilight vampires.. but of course, is impossible to be this.. hehehe happy mylotting

I don't like the idea of immortality. It goes against they way God created us to be which is to be born, live life, and end it with dying and joing him in the kingdom of heaven. But also there is the fact that people will get misreable. They will see all of there loved ones get old and die. Then they will remain alone and start the whole process of meeting new people and watching them die at the end. So they will end up getting hurt and depressed by the fact of everyone dying and he/she has remained alive and suffered that sadness many times. And they will also witness the horrors that come to world if anything comes in the future, hopefully not.

immortality will be really bad...you will be old and weak...and you will want to die but it wouldnt be possible as you are immortal

As much as I love Vamp movies and such I would NOT want to be immortal even if I had the best health and the ability to rapidly heal from injuries etc etc...Why? Well I'd not be able to stand outliving all the ppl I love for starters, watching them sufferer as they grow old, weak and die...I'd also not want to be around when this world gets so bad we end up destroying it and each other...I honestly can't see anythng positive in being immortal really..In fact I think it would seriously suck

immortal is against nature.... There should be regeneration , then only life will be balanced.. u cannot live for 200 years, god has given a limit, that is u have enjoyed enough in this world and the time has come for the soul to rest in peace...because the soul is tired for living in a body for these many years... so i suggest immortal is not a good thing ...

Immortality without the power of self healing is useless because what's the point in being at one place and not able to move freely and not enjoy the life but have a life which is never ending. The quality of life is very important. The idea of living forever also excites me but thinking that I will have to see all my loved ones die before me is really not some thing that I will like.

sometimes i think about it too. because i want to spent my whole life with my love one. but its only an imagination. and it could not really happen. because the reality is that all of us will die.

Vampires are one of the most retarded romantic myths I have ever known of, even though some of the movies are mildly amusing. As for living forever, if you have seen any movies with at least a semi-philosophical approach to it, you'd know that it would most likely not be any fun at all. The first hundred years, maybe. Then you grow bored and a couple of hundred years later you have seen anything a thousand times over, and all you want is to escape it all. Question is, if your body stay in perfect shape and your health never deteriorate, would it be possible to go insane from the boredom after say, a thousand years? Probably not, which would make it feel like you were in your own personal Hell, forever and ever. Yay, fun! No thanks. I would of course appreciate a better health, but not living forever ;-)

I don't want to be immortal. I don't want to stay at the same stage in life. Life's interesting because as we grow older, our interests change, our friends change...things change...and that's what keeps me going.
