I expected Shutter Island to be a good movie

...but it was better than I thought it would be based on the commercials. What an incredible mind twister. Anyone else watch this? I wanted to tlak about it to people all day at work and no ones seen it yet, everyones telling me to be quiet cause they're going to see it this weekend or next.
Whats everyone elses thoughts? Anyone else blown away by this movie? Or are you planning on seeing it but worried its all hype? I think the show is worth every bit of hype its gotten.

I think I may have a sixth sense about movies- I can always tell if they're going to be good or bad.
I have not seen Shutter Island, but I know that the director, Martin Scorsese has made some pretty remarkable films in the past and Leo Decaprio has as well. There was just something about the lighting and atmosphere of the movie/ the approach they took with the trailer that told me it wasn't great. ///

It's on my list of movies to see soon. Maybe even this weekend! I don't usually buy into the movie critic reviews unless they all seem to comment the same. Many times I have loved a movie that didn't get great reviews. And then there are the times like Blair Witch where I was so unimpressed I wouldn't have encouraged anyone to go see it. I only went since I'd heard so much about it and wished I could have my money back! I like Leo alot so if he's in it, then usually it's worth seeing!
Will let ya know what I think once I've been! Till then...shshhhh...don't want to know what to expect!
