Is productivity of professionals in corporate sector suffering due to internet?

Lot of social networking sites have proliferated on the internet.It has caught people's imagination by storm. More and more people are joining them,because it allows them to while away their time. It also keeps them occupied with things other than their own work, what they are supposed to do. Some join them to escape their day to day problems.Do you think due to this the productivity of professionals in corporate sector is suffering?

Why only professionals it is affecting humanity in general. Take me for example, I have so many daily routines to do, but I will keep them aside and spend time here which is in fact worrying me. I am slowly trying to discipline myself and keep only a certain amount of time to be here and hope I will succeed.

I think that would be a good idea. I am sure you must not be neglecting your daily chores on account of this. As long as it does not encroach on your responsibilities it is okay, but once you feel that it is taking up too much of your time then you must restrict your self and allow only a limited time for it.
