If you could change NASCAR?

If you could change anything about NASCAR, what would it be?
Would you change the points amt? Would you go back to the point system where there isn't a top 10 for the last 10 races? Would you let them be "more physcial"? "less physical"?
Just wondering because we (hubby and I) became NASCAR fans right before a lot of the rules were changed... the point system was the old way and there was more bumping and banging. And sometimes that was fun to watch.

I quite agree with you my wife and I became fans when Dale Sr wreked and was killed in the Datona 500 before the rools/points change. if I could change anything I would change the amount of points a driver gets for leading the most laps and the amount of points a driver gets for winning races. this way they might have more drvers in the chase.

No because winning the pole give them a chance to win the bud shoot out at datona where they have a chance to win the poll for the 500

Go back! That's what I would change, I hate all of the new rules, the heavier penalties just for a cuss word. There is no physical violence and barely any wrecks. It just sucks now! The race for the chase needs to be thrown out the window. Just my opinion.

I think I may be alone in this, but I like the chase, (my driver has never gotten into it, but I still like it) now I do think they need to change some things, like if you win the most races during the seasion, but don't have the point to get into the top 10 you should be let in. Also maybe haveing more the 10 drivers in the chase would be nice, maybe 15 just to give more guys a chance.
As for the rules, I agree some of them are harsh, but I do understand some, such as the swearing, children watch races, and if it's a live interview stations can not bleep out what they say. I know there are some people who don't care what there children hear or say, but many do and that is why they have that rule in place.
Other then that I really don't have an opinion on the other rules, I'm sure they are there for a reasion.

I think Nascar needs to go back to being Winston Cup, do away with restrictor plates, and let them race. If someone is in front of you and they won't get out of the way, move them out of your way. I miss the old Nascar and this is just my opinion, but racing hasn't been the same with "The Intimidator" gone.
