How often do you follow your heart than your mind in making decisions? Have you ever regret on not listening to your heart or following your mind in decisions you made?

I actually tend to use my mind more, even over-analyze things rather than listen to my heart first. But as much as I can, I still try to keep things in balance before arriving to a decision that I might regret. I wouldn't want to follow just what my mind thinks because I might end up unhappy, or only follow my heart because it may not be wise.

Well that's good for you, it's really important to able to balance between our heart and mind. Even if we fail or regret for the things we've done or the things we didn't do, still we learn and we grow and that's all that matters in our life. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Heart is driven by emotional desperation and Mind harness the heart imposing the perpetual possibility of terrible consequences. But emotion has greater impact on human than the confusing complexity of logical mind. What mind imposes is fear which sometimes stops us from taking even the first step. That never helps. There is always a trade off between listening to heart and listening to mind and yes,it depends on the importance of the event.I think,in professional affairs you'd listen to your mind, but in personal issues you'd listen to your heart.

I agree with you. Our minds often gives us limit and boundaries, it makes the possible to become impossible. We often fear to try new things, we fear to achieved our dreams because our mind tells us that it's impossible, that we can't make it. When it comes to this matter it's right to listen to our heart. There are some personal issues where it could be better to listen to our heart like woman who stayed with her abusive partner because she loves him and she her heart told her that her love man will change him someday. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Hey careguarden! I have definitely regreted not following my instincts, whether it was my heart or my mind! Sometimes we let our feelings cloud our minds and sometimes we let our minds cloud our feelings! I don't know which is worse! And I don't know which is the best way to make a decision! Sometimes for me I think to much and that ends up being a mistake! You can really overthink things and then still make the wrong decisions!

Yeah, you're right my friend, no matter what we do we always end up making mistakes by doing the wrong decisions. I guess it's simply because we need to grow and we need to learn and only through making mistakes we able to become a better person. So it doesn't really matter if we use our heart or mind, what matter is we learn from it. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

I think you have to use 80% of mind & 20% of the heart. It depends on the situation to make some decision but the best is think it 6x before it arrive to a decision & balance it with 20% of the heart decision.
