in indonesia, Maulid is familiar to most of indonesian. maybe because Indonesia is the most bigger moslem in the world. most of our preacher in past always use culture and combine culture and religion aspect to attract many followers to know Islam and become moslem. i think that why many traditional culture which is related to any moslem day, like Maulid and Muhharram (Islam New Year). i believe in our city, many traditional culture is held when Maulid day. would do you like to tell us about your traditional culture to remember maulid nabi. thanks

Commonly the people in my town hold islamic speech. We even sometimes invite the local famous preacher. It depends on the committee, sometimes we held an Islamic art show.

where do you live indo? i think it`s common things moslem do. but maybe there are specific doing or unique when maulid coming in your city

live in SDA, more specifically in Suko Asri. People in my complex do not hold any specific n/or unique event. I don't know if there is some unique event out of my complex.

in my city, maulid celebrate with even "pengajian" and also children who finished Qur'an will be like king, i mean they ride a horse and use Arabic clothes. all of people really excited to watch this parade.

the different thin is when i was young, child who finished Al Qur'an used pedicab, but now they use horse.

In Yogyakarta there are Alun-Alun (pasar malam) like in the solo. We arrived there Grebeg maulud. Residents fighting vegetables in order shaped mountains. They believe if they get the vegetables will get a blessing.

in solo there is sekaten in alun-alun of solo. Actually I don't come from this city. I live in solo because of my husband duty. so i couldn't tell more about this ritual.

in Jakarta especially in my place we always held a lecture or "ceramah"and with traditional music like "rebana".and give some food for everbody there.many people attended celebrate with happines.and Im very like this athmosphere
