i was so excited in giving replies on your discussions and realizing that i failed to post my own... :D anyways, few of the people here in mylot knew about how strict my parents were when it comes to me having a boyfriend. i followed most of your advices that i should slowly give some signs to my parents that i have already one. unfortunately, it didn't work. :( my boyfriend will be leaving this April for his job. i don't know how to handle such situations from which we will be required to hid our relationship and at the same time to maintain the affection though it's a long distance relationship... :'( please do help me guys... i don't want to lose him and at the same time, i don't want my parents to be aware about this...

Hello elsmarie, How are you, it's been a while since you last post. you know this is really getting out of hand, how long are you gonna keep it a secret. I tell you this, one day they will find out, and worse, it could be from other people, that would make them really mad at you. It's better if you start pulling your guts together and tell them. or if you can't it will be a hard burden for you, if you can't reveal it then just let him go and just wait for the right time someday. keeping it a secret can make it even complicated

hi LetranKnight25... :D actually, i already tried telling them about him but they take it negatively. my dad doesn't allow me to have a boyfriend unless i finished studying. it such as a cliche when i was so afraid of destroying their trust but in reality, they really did not made me feel that they had one for me. :(

then you have to let him to ease your pain. i mean, what if he gets tempted and cheat? what's gonna stop him from doing what he wants there even though he loves you, guys are prawn to temptation when they're partners are far from them. maybe "cool off" is the best option, as far as am concerned.

it would be difficult to keep your relationship going especially if he's far away, plus you'll have another hard time of keeping it hidden from your parents. long distance relationship takes a lot of trust between you and your boyfriend. if you've established this trust and are truly committed to each other then you've got a chance to make things work. as for your parents, it's up to you when you think its the best time to tell them that you have a boyfriend, you're the one who knows them best. i wish all the best for you and i hope all your plans would work out fine. ^^

thanks for your advice... ^_^ though we both trust each other, i'm still scared that we won't be able to maintain the relationship that we have now. i'm 20 and i really envy those girls who were allowed to have a boyfriend. :(

"Distance makes the heart grow fonder, but distance also makes it grow colder." -a GL comic When you love somebody, try and let him/her go. If he's truly yours, he'll come back. Exchange letters or e-mails, keep in touch, but don't hope so much.

ouch! that's tough... :( i hope that we can still extend our relationship even though we're apart and hope that it won't happen the other way around...
