The Alchemist is the first book of Paulo Coelho that I've read. The book had helped me look on things and problems in a different perspective. If you have read the book, what do you think of it and how did it make a change in you?

I love the book. It changed my life... i started to do the things i never had the chance doing, travel to places i've never been, risk a little with adventure, etc. I I was never been this happy before, it gave me a sense of fulfillment. Do you think its the best book ever written?

well it tells a lot about love and interpreting omens. it makes one feel a sense of being complete and full of thoughts. from the very first page the novel is interesting and the end is even great. i love this book a lot.

I have read this book and I may say that it's a good one. Simple lines yet deep. I can imagine how it reminded me of the simple things that are worth my life. I can no longer remember the name of the character, the place he's been to and the names of the people he encountered but I remember that he was looking for treasure. He left his hometown and his sheep to find that treasure. He's been to different places and met different people. He lost and won. Then in the end, he realized that the treasure he's looking for was on the place that he left. It made me realize that things happen for a reason and there's always be a good reason why things happen. You just really have to see it. And I'm glad that in my life, I see the good reasons why things happen.

The Alchemist is a good book. It's very imaginative, but real at the same time because it teaches us to look at life in many other perspectives. It has many quotable statements that are easy to live by. Paulo Coelho's books are all brilliant.

alchemist is a guide to follow our dreams. it teaches us how to respond to our inner conscience and decipher the omens(sign) around us to reach at our destination and also teaches us the meaning of love

a change in me? well. i realized that the journey reaching your goal in life is more important than the destination point. Why? because in a journey, you will meet different kind of people. some may be as stubborn as you, some may get along with you well, some may be a racist and some may be as understanding as you are. And also, in that journey, you will experience LIFE. the true meaning of life.
